I have always been annoyed....deeply, that a Child Porn post gets 140+ comments where nothing is really added by the them...but there everyone was... standing around the Elephant.
A Post where I hand built a Christmas display that I did completely by myself  ?
That gets 18...... 8 fuckingteen

Santa Suit that would make a Cosplay fiend cum in their costume? Bout' the same.

Turn Halloween into a 21 day fear fest?    double....cuz I threw another blogger under the bus...not cuz of the "you've never seen THAT in Japan stuff".

Walking around looking for a way
But no one tells me which way to go
I'm caught up in a world
A Labyrinth, a maze
Where the yes word could easily mean no
I ask them no questions
They give me no answers
Following the wise
But they're walking in pampers

Funny I came to this site a couple days ago from a link off Reddit of some one bashing you. So far I have stayed and read until this point backwards and will keep going.

I just got compared to a dude who is me....with a suit...no fucking balls and a cookie cutter, money is God, let em' eat shitty shaved ice on a tatami floor and call it a day kinda guy with 10 schools and 1 teacher for every 10 students (makes no sense/money = bullshit).  Nothing like me. You motherfuckers have no clue. I just perused 5 of the biggest schools in Japan online and they are all fucking alike in that they are nowhere near my level. Could ya sit any closer to the student? Guy's getting paid 250,000yen a month max and dressing like they make 10x more. I wear surf shorts and I make 4-6 times more. Get a fucking clue. Your tie isn't gonna add 50pts to their TOEI*...you know that right?

You are...what you do everyday whether folks got an eye on you or not

I asked someone recently if he was an Eikaiwa teacher and he laughed and said..
"Oh...oh no I'm in the JET program"

I wondered what planet he was on?....Did a physical double take and moved along. Saw his FB avatar from some manga and confirmed my suspicions.

Just deleted half this post to include this comment. Makes me enjoy blogging....playing God in the frame and receiving nice comments I mean.

I like a lot of the shit you post, some heavy topics that I don't even know how to begin to think about a solution (CP and shit), Than there is your school, it sounds (at least from what you post) like a place that goes past what every one bitches about on the forums and everywhere else. That being not being able to make a difference. Not only do your students do better than the others in the area and probably most of japan, (You seem to get the kids to want to learn, which where I am from is almost a laughable concept when the courses are required) but you also do the other thing that no one else can really claim, you share your culture. It's really motivating. To be honest, I am the bottom of your list of foreigners that came to Japan. I came here for my girlfriend who I have been dating for just over 3 years now. My plan was to in fact teach english as a side gig to supplement/provide my income while I am here. The thing is I don't plan on leaving. After r eading a lot of your blog, I realized that if I am going to teach, I need to want to teach, and if I want to teach I have to do it right. (BTW your BBQ's, Halloween and Christmas shit are fucking awesome) As another reason why you wouldn't like me, I am what you have described as a momma's boy. I mean I am not competitive by any means, I hate sports and fighting I just can't do it. But hell I don't need to fight any one, I have no reason too. But making a difference in the place you live and giving the people who pay you money a worth while investment just makes sense. When/If I manage to get a job here I want to give it my all thanks to you.

I am sure I have more to say but I would rather post relevent comments on your upcoming posts. (congrats on beating 9000 comments/replies BTW)

Thanks. I throw stereotypes like nets knowing they will catch the fish I want and others. Judging by your response your "others"...so I throw you back to swim again. I got readers from the biggest Uni's in Japan and they don't comment but they read...a lot. The previous post was read a lot more than the one prior and they are waiting for the ingredients. That's fine. In a perfect world we could all talk shop but that requires everyone to be confident and open minded...not feel threatened by alternate views. So yeah...they ain't gonna happen. I tried to form a kick-ball league among rival Eikaiwa's and they all balked. 3 of those 6 schools went belly up so it was for the better but it was them not wanting me and my "whatever" attitude near their students. Something very appealing about not caring if a student jumps ship because you introduced them to another school. I never cared so...I never cared and THAT is very appealing apparently? The kick-ball was a no go for them but I got their students...the ones I chose anyway.

If you ever try and do it yourself remember that sometimes a loss is a gain. Saying "No" to a student for reasons you can make understood is in your rights (to keep your sanity) and in the end it will draw more folks to you. We all know you need to spend money to make money...less well known (apparently) is that sometimes you have to walk away from the money (students) to make even more money. Leave it on the table....walk away...there will be more right there when you return.

I will begin the next post explaining how I begin a lesson. I expect a lot of views and few comments....it is what is.....
