It's the thing nobody comes right out and says but it causes more drama among bloggers than any other single topic. I simply don't buy that some don't really care. Bullshit. People already know how they feel, they wanna know how others feel about what they wrote. Agree,disagree...whatever but the feedback "The return of a portion of the output"...that's the currency of bloggers. You either get really lucky or... hitch to a bucha folks that agree with you and ...well. That must be like sitting on a chair and being surrounded by mirrors...just nod your head...look...your nodding back at yourself....:(
Let's look at this another way.
How many relationships are you in that are entirely 1 way? If your getting paid or rewarded in any way then that's NOT a 1 way relationship. It may not be equal but it's not 1 way. I'm not in any 1 way relationships in my life. Zero

Or am in a mutually satisfying relationship of various forms.
The only things that come close are related to this blog.
I have added and deleted at least 30 sites from my blogroll.
I noticed some folks commenting on sites on my roll and they didn't get any feedback. A"little love" for their young site....it did not come.
I know how that feels...... It don't feel good.
I had to bait folks in the beginning . And THAT didn't feel good.......just made me more angry.
If your building a site you need to seriously consider how important this is to you. Do you comment on sites and help the person by creating an active engaging environment like you yourself would like?

Active blog, engaging blogger,returns the love. Very VERY hard to find.
18 months in and I got 300k+ and 6k+ (hits/comments) No Twitter,No Facebook,No asking for link backs. If I gotta ask I'm sure I'm at the wrong kinda site. Just responding to comments and visiting the site to return the love...if that happens a few times they go on the BR and get a "trial".
Think about it. Not a member of any clique' , not a expat mommy not a Tweeter or a F.B. person or any other site pimping method and I got those #'s
(mommy bloggers are not pimps... btw.....the mommy clique doesn't scare me but it scares me...know what I mean?)
You wouldn't believe...or maybe you would?...how many folks just wished this blog would wilt and die. I talk about everything and I name names. Good or bad. I know some bloggers like some of the bloggers I mention and...well...that's their thing not mine. If you comment on this site and I on yours that's where our simple relationship starts and ends...it's a simple and fair 2 way system and that's all I care about.

Fortunately, I have found enough engaging bloggers who share and do not share my opinions....but share my view on creating a healthy blog that it is for now a worthwhile use of my limited time . My blogroll is filled with people different from me and that's part of the reason they are there.
The wheat must now be separated from the chafe.
The sites that are well written.well maintained and show blogging courtesy (common sense) are in 1 group and the sites that are good reads are in another. I just checked all of them and they do not just fail to return the love to me but to others on their own blogroll. It ain't personal, it's just another way of blogging.

1. I got 35 classes a week and I'm fucking taxed to the max time wise. If you do posts during the week and I miss it then I apologize. I'll try and be there and can guarantee some affection after 10pm Friday to Sunday. If you do rapid fire posting then I'm....I'll try my best.
2. I'm always hunting for new blogs that are well written and fit my bill. The last time I asked I found This is how she fight start which is about the best site I know of right now. If anyone knows of some up and comers hungry for hitz and shows the love....let me know ;)
