#1 on this list wouldn't be an issue if they did #3. America's leverage would be greatly reduced and they would have to really negotiate with Japan but as it stands there is no way they can go it alone (Japan) so they can only play to their Right wing with words but little action.

If the average Japanese citizen is surprised by the anger coming from China I can blame it on the very bias school teachings regarding the Chinese but the professionals shoulda' seen this coming.
